{"id":22847,"date":"2025-09-15T10:11:40","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T02:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/?p=22847"},"modified":"2025-09-15T10:18:56","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T02:18:56","slug":"pcaf-strengthens-transparency-through-pmt-activities-in-eastern-visayas-and-zamboanga-peninsula","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/index.php\/2025\/09\/15\/pcaf-strengthens-transparency-through-pmt-activities-in-eastern-visayas-and-zamboanga-peninsula\/","title":{"rendered":"PCAF strengthens transparency through PMT activities in Eastern Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/6d2ca070-b72a-4421-8cd0-195ec70ffdd4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As part of its continuing efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in the implementation of agriculture and fishery projects, the 黑料网 conducted Participatory Monitoring and Tracking (PMT) activities in Eastern Visayas and the Zamboanga Peninsula in June 2025.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/4d2c3335-ecbf-441f-90f9-8dfa73d3b7f6.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The activity aimed to validate the status and progress of Department of Agriculture (DA)-funded projects implemented in 2023 and 2024, ensuring that programs are aligned with their intended objectives and that resources are being effectively utilized on the ground.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/7227cb4f-b93f-42bc-b72d-a26b570bd587.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/b311d798-2b2f-4c1b-bcb3-8c73f08de4d9.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From June 2 to 6, six PMT teams were deployed across various provinces in Eastern Visayas to monitor and validate a total of 98 projects. For the Zamboanga Peninsula, four teams carried out PMT activities from June 16 to 20, assessing a total of 66 DA-funded projects.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1d01df7f-3101-47ae-b711-3c447aaa0b06.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/9d402569-cc30-4c68-bd7d-8a33ed5ab38e-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The PMT teams, comprising representatives from the Regional, Provincial, and Municipal Agricultural and Fisheries Councils (RAFC\/PAFC\/MAFC), conducted site validations with local stakeholders. Their findings served as the basis for the discussions held during the exit conferences.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/d39f9015-4564-43e7-be6d-dd3b0e246a66.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/a34e06cb-e75d-4f4f-9116-03c4699fa0db.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Eastern Visayas exit conference took place on June 6, in Tacloban City, Leyte. The conference was participated in by Regional Executive Director Andrew Rodolfo Orais, RAFC Chairperson Miguel Pedroso, and National Sectoral Committee on International Trade Chairperson Ernesto Ordo\u00f1ez.  Executive Assistant Cyril Soliaban and PMKMD Assistant Chief Catherine Viray represented PCAF.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/9a9b8faa-32b1-45c1-b530-573949144720.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/d707ce79-6591-473d-bb82-42cb05614cf6.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Regional Executive Director Marcos Aves, Sr., RAFC Chairperson Leonardo Caparida, and Chairperson Ordo\u00f1ez actively participated in the discussions during the exit conference for the Zamboanga Peninsula, held on June 20 in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. The PCAF, led by Executive Director Bernadette De Los Santos and PMKMD Chief Floreliz Avellana, also shared their valuable insights throughout the activity.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/86f400f9-0cf4-4294-8cb3-752af06356f4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pcaf.da.gov.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/cb146a7c-b10f-421f-8ca2-e2bc515fcca6-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During these conferences, key findings, issues, and gaps identified during field visits were presented and discussed. Stakeholders collaborated to formulate recommendations and action points, with clear assignments given to the responsible agencies or offices to address the concerns raised.
