Ariel Cayanan addresses more than 60 participants from research institutions, academe, national government organizations, commercial fishing industry, and national government agencies during the 1st National Workshop on Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) on February 1, 2016 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.The two-day workshop was the first leg of the series of workshops that aims to create a solid and common position of the Philippines on the issue of BBNJ which will be presented in the international level.
