<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Months after the Agricultural and Fishery Council (AFC) elections in the regional, provincial and municipal level, PCAF- Partnership Development Division (PDD) announced the complete list of the newly elected set of officers for the year 2016 to 2019.<\/p>\n
According to PCAF-PDD, \u201cthe elections were generally successful. However some areas experienced delays of schedule because they are still waiting for the completion of the orientation on the AFC Manual of Operations (MoO).\u201d<\/p>\n
The MoO contains information on policies, processes and procedures adopted by PCAF relative to the organization, structure, membership, roles and functions, activities, outputs and other concerns of the AFCs who are composed of volunteer-partners at the regional and local levels.<\/p>\n
The manual also contains the guidelines of the AFC Elections and Recall. More than 1,700 AFCs conducted their own elections wherein 16 Regional AFCs (RAFCs), 80 Provincial AFCs (PAFCs), 18 Independent Component City Agricultural and Fishery Councils (ICCAFCs)\/ Highly Urbanized City AFCs (HUCAFCs), and 1,611 Municipal AFCs (MAFCs)\/ City AFCs (CAFCs) joined the poll.<\/p>\n
The newly elected officers in the RAFCs, PAFCs, ICCAFCs\/HUCAFCs and MAFCs\/CAFCs will hold the office for three years. This is one year longer compared to the previous term of office indicated in the Manual of Regulations.<\/p>\n
The AFC volunteer-partners voted for their chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer, internal auditor and public relations officer.<\/p>\n
All officers of the council were elected except for the co-chairperson, who came from the government sector, and the chairpersons of the Sectoral and Working Committees. The latter were appointed by the Executive Committee, a committee that handles urgent matters for immediate action of the council. They shall be selected among members who volunteered.<\/p>\n
